Claire was my friend, colleague and tea-drinking buddy for a number of years at L&G. She had the most infectious laugh. You would often see a big smile appear on the face of a colleague, staring at their computer screen, as Claire's distinctive laughter bubbled up from the other side of the room, breaking up the sometimes too serious working atmosphere and bring light and laughter into everyone's day. She was bubbly, vivacious and a ruthless extractor of money when it came to charity days at work, using her charm and personality to win over even the grumpiest person so that they were happy to donate. She was kind and thoughtful, remembering my birthday and putting together a big hamper full of baby goodies when I had my baby daughter, and even after everything she'd been through over the last year, she was still always happy and helpful. She'll be sorely missed.
